Dr. Edith Shiro, a distinguished clinical psychologist practicing in Miami, co-founded the Trauma and Resilience Center and is the author of “The Unexpected Gift of Trauma: The Path to Post-Traumatic Growth.” A graduate of the Catholic University of Venezuela (UCAB), Dr. Dhiro earned Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Yeshiva University. In addition, she has specializations from the Ackerman Institute for the Family (Couples & Family Therapy) and NYU's International Trauma Studies Program.
