Mazel Tov to Orli Ferrandis-Mitrani! After postponing Orli’s Bat-Mitzvah (a few times) we are so happy to be celebrating this milestone in our lives. Orli is 13 and in 7th grade at Cushman Middle School. She is a very responsible, dedicated student and loves her “knitting for peace” elective class. She had previously attended Ada Merritt's IB Dual Language Magnet School for Spanish. She has been at Temple Menorah's Hebrew school for the last few years, but had also attended Hebrew school on Sundays at the Chabads of Midtown and Venetian. During the summers, she attends Camp Judaea in North Carolina, and is so excited to be returning next summer!
Orli has a big heart and her compassion for others is beyond her years. She is curious and creative, loves to draw, has the best hand-writing you will ever see, and enjoys dancing, snow skiing, boating, playing tennis, and watching movies. She also loves to surf on the beach with her dad. Orli also manages to find time to cook and bake with her sister and her cousins, enjoys shopping with her friends, and is thrilled to finally have a puppy named Nala. Orli has learned that giving to those in need is a priority in life and has spent year after year going to the Kosher Food Bank with her Baba to volunteer, especially during the holidays. Orli is celebrating her Bat Mitzvah at the same bima and weekend as her mom, her sister Jaya, her aunt Rhonda, and cousin Drea. She is happy to share this special moment with dear family and friends, in person and on zoom. Thank you for joining us. Shabbat Shalom!
We remember our loved ones who are no longer with us physically but have helped shape our lives and are part of our history and in our hearts always: Rafael Mitrani, Matilde Mitrani, Lazaro Sawicki, Clara Sawicki, Andres Ferrandis, Leoni Trilles, Salvador Torregrosa, Carmen Gallart, Elliot Buchman, Andrea Buchman, Eugenia Gordon and Leona Mamane Tzalik z"l.
