The Temple Menorah Coronavirus Policy As per Jewish law, the health and safety of our Kehilah is our highest priority. Therefore, we are abiding by the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), The National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Florida Department of Health regarding safeguarding our community.
As of the writing of this letter, there are
NO confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Miami Dade County, and therefore
THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE DANGER OR CONCERN TO OUR COMMUNITY. THEREFORE, AT THIS POINT IN TIME, OUR SERVICES, MINYANS AND PROGRAMS WILL CONTINUE AS SCHEDULED. THIS POLICY WILL BE REVISITED AS PERTINENT CHANGES ARISE. Regardless, during any flu season, it is highly recommended we all follow the CDC guidelines of infection prevention:
1. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, frequently.
2. After washing, throw your disposable towel into the garbage.
3. Practice good “coughing and sneezing etiquette” (cough and sneeze into your sleeve at your elbow or tissue and immediate dispose of it away from others)
4. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer after exposure.
5. Stay home if you are sick and send employees home who have flu like symptoms.
6. Increase overall surface cleaning in public spaces.
7. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

not mandating or even requesting that people refrain from shaking hands in shul, please be sensitive to the fact that there are many people who may prefer to abstain from handshaking, hugging or close contact with others during this period of time.
May Hashem bless us all with good health, wellness and prosperity.
