Jackie Martin Solomon, son of Lee & Eric Solomon, is honored to celebrate his Bar Mitzvah with his family and friends on March 9, 2024. Jackie is very proud to carry on this Jewish tradition and to mark his entrance as an adult in our Jewish Community.

Jackie graduated from Lehrman Community Day School in the spring of 2022 and is currently in seventh grade at Miami Country Day School. Jackie is a straight-A honor student and, during the spring of 2023, Jackie, following in the footsteps of his sister,  Sydney, received Miami Country Day School’s Core Values Award. This is a prestigious award given to students who

possess the school’s core values of honor, respect, wisdom, compassion, and purpose. Jackie has made his family proud by his continued dedication to these cherished values.

In addition to his academic achievements, Jackie is also an outstanding athlete, excelling on both the football field and baseball diamond. On the football field, he is a promising quarterback who has achieved many accomplishments and earned numerous awards, including winning the Future 4 Middle School Quarterback Competition, a national invite-only competition whose past winners include JJ McCarthy, starting quarterback of the University of Michigan’s national championship team. Jackie also stands out on the baseball field, winning Rookie of the Year for Miami Country Day School’s spring 2023 middle school baseball team and being named a captain of this year’s team.

Jackie is a lover of animals, particularly the family’s dog, Smokey, who he loves to care for and play with. Jackie also adored Winston, the family’s miniature schnauzer who passed away a few years ago.

In his free time, Jackie enjoys playing with his friends, going out to eat with his family (especially for bagels and lox on Sunday mornings), cheering for (and being disappointed by) the New York Giants, and watching and repeating lines from Seinfeld and his favorite movies, including the Rocky and Creed movies, the Rush Hour movies, Major League, Field of Dreams, and his father’s all-time favorite, The Outsiders.

Jackie would like to thank his Safta, Ahuva Franco, Rabbi Pearlson, Rabbi Kunis, and Rosalind Lanes for taking the time to prepare him for his Bar Mitzvah.

We are very proud of all of Jackie’s accomplishments and are honored to celebrate him.
