Mazal Tov Annie! Annie is the daughter of PJ Tanz and Brian Slomovitz. She is a sixth grade student at Scheck Hillel. Her favorite subjects are orchestra, in which Annie is learning to play the violin, and English. Outside of school, Annie studies voice and is exploring a new-found passion for basketball. She can often be found rooting for the Florida Panthers alongside Dad and indulging in reality TV with Mom. Camp Pinecliffe in Harrison, Maine, holds a special place in Annie's heart. She loves her camp friends and enjoys honoring Pinecliffe's century-old
traditions with them. Annie is excited to celebrate her bat mitzvah with her family at Temple Menorah. During this school year, Annie participated in WIZO's bat mitzvah program. She met many new girls her age and engaged in amazing volunteer experiences, learning about the impact she can have on her community. Annie hopes to continue to be involved in chesed and give back to her community in years to come. She will start by taking over her older siblings’ Sadie and Eli’s chores.

Max Benjamin Feldman is a 7th grade student in the Upper Academy at Ruth K. Broad K-8 Center. Max has thrived at school because of strong friendships and wonderful teachers. He is a dedicated student and has been in the honors program since 1st grade. Max’s love of Judaism has grown during each of the five years he has attended Temple Menorah’s Hebrew school. The warm environment and enthusiastic teachers have benefited him tremendously. Max has a passion for sports and video games; he has been an avid tennis player since the age of 6. Max competed in several tennis tournaments and took home 2nd place at his sleepaway camp’s tournament last summer while playing other campers above his age. Max has also been an avid baseball player since 4th grade; currently he plays first base for the Miami Beach Force travel team. Max’s
teammates and coaches affectionately call him by his baseball nickname, Scoops! In addition to Temple Menorah providing a strong Jewish identity, Max has attended Camp Young Judea in Amherst, NH for several summers. At CYJ, Max has formed many lasting friendships and had wonderful Shabbat and Jewish-themed camp experiences. Max loves spending time with his big sister Sydney, his friends, teammates, family and playing MLB the show, NBA 2K and Fortnite. His family has grown accustomed to loud, unexpected screams coming from Max’s room when he gets a friend to rage quite a game they are playing together online. We are very proud of Max for being such a wonderful son, brother, student, friend, and teammate. He has become a fine young man with a sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor. Max has a kind heart and generous spirit and we are so proud of the fine example he sets for our family and our community. As an example, Max decided to raise money to support the Jewish Community of Ukraine as his Bar Mitzvah project. Max has raised over $1,000.00 from family and friends and will be donating a portion of his Bar Mitzvah gifts to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s Ukraine Emergency Fund. Thank you to all our friends and family for being here to celebrate this joyous occasion with us. Our hearts overflow with love and pride as Max becomes a Bar Mitzvah. We are blessed to be able to celebrate it with so many friends and family members. A special thank you to Rabbi Pearlson, Rabbi Kunis, Ros and Mora Nili for all of their hard work and dedication to prepare Max for this special day. We are thankful for the special community of spiritual leaders, family, friends and neighbors which have made his important day possible for Max and his family.
Shalom, Lisa, Andy and Sydney Feldman

Max attended Lehrman Community Day School since he was a toddler through kindergarten and then moved over to Ruth K. Broad, where he is currently a 7th grade student on the golf team. He is an honor roll student and has worked hard on preparing for his Bar Mitzvah.
Even though Max has lots of friends, he loves to spend time with his family. Max is a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Marlins and loves to attend games. He also enjoys playing sports, fishing in the backyard, and going to Disney World with his sister, Mia. Max loves to participate in fantasy sports leagues with his friends, gaming online and is a master Lego builder. Max is our go-to IT person whenever we have any technology-related questions. Max is also our master chef and has a special French
toast he makes that is out of this world!
Max’s entire family is so proud of him, not just today but always. His compassionate heart and playful nature make him a special young man. Max would like to give special thanks to Rabbi Pearlson, Rabbi Kunis, Rosalind Lanes and Mora Nili for preparing him for his Bar Mitzvah.
Lastly, your great-grandparents, Lottie and Joe Ketay and your grandfather, Papa Bud, would be so proud if they were here to see you. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!
