RAMI & VALORIE SHMUELY in honor of the Bar Mitzvah of their son Ayden
Mazal Tov Lila! Lila Alison Erez, daughter of Michele and Jeff Erez will be honored as a Bat Mitzvah on February 25, 2022. Lila is very proud to carry on this cherished Jewish tradition and to mark her entrance as an adult in the Jewish community in Miami Beach where she was born and raised. Lila traces her roots to both Ashkenaz and Separidic traditions and cherishes the rich traditions and her heritage from Egypt, Belgium, Israel, the United States and Canada.
Lila is a graduate of Lehrman Community Day School where she gained an exposure to Hebrew, Judaic studies and Torah. Lila brings to her Bat Mitzvah all of the training and educations she gained at Lehrman.
Lila is currently attending Miami County Day School where she has excelled in her studies. Lila is a valued member of the MCDS Volleyball team, is devoted to excelling in volleyball on her club team, and a great tennis player. This is also her second year participating in the Dance program at school. Although she was raised in sunny Miami, Lila has a deep love of the winter and cherishes her time in the mountains skiing. Lila enjoys summer camp and will return to Camp Vega for another great summer experience. Lila loves to travel and is grateful to have visited so many great world capitals and other family favorite places with her family.
Lila has made us so proud and we have had the pleasure of watching our little girl blossom into the young woman she has become. Although Lila has always been wise beyond her years, she continues to mature and surprise us with her strong will and drive. Lila is loved by her big brother Julian and her cousins Alexa and Jake. Lila adores her grandparents Noni and Popi and Safta and appreciates all the family time together. Lila has developed so many close friends at MCDS and has enjoyed making meaningful friendships and exploring the world with them.
We wish Lila Mazel Tov on this important and joyous day! We would like to thank our family and closest friends for being here with us and celebrating Lila’s memorable day. Thank you Rabbi Pearlson, Rabbi Josh, Ros and Morah Nili for all of your support and getting Lila ready for her Bat Mitzvah.
Mazal Tov Ayden! The Shmuely Family is filled with pride and joy to share their firstborn son Ayden’s Bar Mitzvah with the Temple Menorah community. The Shmuely family has a long history with Temple Menorah: many of you attended Rami and Valorie’s wedding in our temple, and Ayden and his brothers, Jordan and Mason, have spent countless Shabbats and High Holidays here too. We are delighted to celebrate Ayden’s simcha surrounded by family, friends, and other members of the Temple Menorah community who have been instrumental in our lives. We also know that Ayden’s Saba, John Shmuely ז”ל, and Great-Grandmother, Marlene Chavin ז”ל, are celebrating with us in spirit.
Ayden has always demonstrated a great love for Judaism and a strong connection to Hashem. Ayden is one of eighteen first cousins and the older brother to Jordan and Mason. He is a fantastic student in 7th Grade at Hillel Community Day School, a graduate of Lehrman Community Day School, and a member of the Hillel Varsity Basketball Team. Ayden has also achieved a black belt in Taekwondo and has played on a traveling baseball team for the past four years. Ayden has a love for animals and has had a dog since birth. Ayden loves spending his time playing sports, PlayStation, and traveling with his family.
